Company/Brand Claim: Moisturizing, transfer resist, light weight.
Result: The DMGM Photo Fix lip color falls somewhere between a lipstick and lip lacquer. It's just like a blended version of the solid lipstick without being runny or too liquidy. The first time I tried it at the counter I instantly fell for it as it wasn't anything like I had used before. And since my wedding day was approaching I could hear "you should get this" somewhere in the back of my head.
The packaging is pretty simple. A transparent acrylic tube with a black top and white text. I actually prefer this kind as the color is quite visible. As for the product inside, like I said it falls somewhere between a lipstick and a lip lacquer. The shade is a deep red with a slight orange undertone if you notice. But if you want a solid red lip just swipe it a few times and you're ready. The sponge applicator smoothly glides on the product and there's a lot of color payoff in the first swipe. You can build up the color as much as you like and it doesn't take a lot of effort. It does tend to moisturize a bit but if your lips usually stay dried out like mine, I suggest exfoliating your lips before application. I wouldn't recommend wearing chap stick underneath as it tends to affect the color a bit. The photo fix is formulated to be applied as it is. Believe it or not, this is the "only" lip color which has stood to its claim of being transfer resistant. Just give it a minute to set and it doesn't go anywhere. Whether it's a sandwich or a glass or fruit or anything, it does not transfer at all. It is definitely light weight and you can forget all about it after you have it on for hours and hours. Let's say, roughly about 6-8 hours of staying power and then it evenly starts to lighten. I even wore it in Malaysia in hot humid weather but it did not smear or bleed off. So it's a great pick for summers as well. The finish is smooth and sexy and will definitely get you compliments. It's a great choice for Valentines Day.
