Result: The Apocalips Lip Lacquer is the latest addition to the Rimmel London cosmetics family. While at Naheed's yesterday the representative swatched almost all of the shades on my hand, ( I so wish I hadn't rubbed those off) I liked Celestial and Big Bang best.


So Celestial, is a nice warm pink with a very slight hint of fuchsia. It is packaged in a cute black chubby tube with the actual color showing at the bottom. I like how the sponge is asymmetrical as that makes the application easy. The texture is buttery and I loved how it instantly paid off with intense color. It's like the power of a lipstick in a gloss. It is moisturizing and has a strong scent, which I don't really like. But it goes away after application. I had ice lolly while I wore it and it still was on my lips, it did lighten but didn't completely fade. I couldn't see it after 4 hours of wear, but I don't mind reapplying as long as the quality is worth my buck. It works as a lip plumper too. So girls who are looking for a pout are going to like it. Its great for both day and night wear and all skin tones. A little pricey but worth the purchase.

The Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer comes in 8 shades (I wish they had more). The tube contains 5.5 ml of the product.

Conclusion: Rimmel claims, "It's neither a lipstick nor a gloss... It's BIGGER than both!" and I kind of agree with the statement. Recommended? Of course yes!
