Rimmel London Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush 190 Coral- Review, Photos, Swatch

Today's it's going to be a quick review of the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush in 190 Coral.
It is supposed to be a sheer, natural finish, long lasting and smudge resistant blush as it states on the back.

Lets start off with the packaging. It is OK, I like the fact that you can actually see the color from the outside. I did have a problem opening and closing it so you'll have to put a little effort there. It comes with a brush inside which I do not like at all. It seems to be made with synthetic fiber and is pretty rough on the skin when you use it. The formulation is fine and it is a sheer natural shade as stated. I could see shimmer within the actual product but it finishes off matte. It is powdery, so you'll be wasting half of what you pick on the brush. Also, application with the brush provided, is very hard, as it spreads the powder everywhere when you swipe it over. It does nothing on the cheek except for feeling rough on the skin. I didn't use it again after that first time. This blush certainly requires a professional brush to work with. If you're fair, it might show some color but if you're a medium skin type like me, you'll have to use a good amount of product to actually get some color.

As far as the lasting power is concerned it doesn't stay on for a long time. I can say it stayed on for 3-4 hours, maybe less. You'll have to reapply eventually.

Speaking of the price is this one cost Rs. 850/- which is pretty steep for the amount of the product, the quality, the brush it comes with and of course the application. There is 4.5 grams of the content in each case. Rimmel has recently changed the product and it now comes without the brush, although I'm not sure about the quantity.

For whatever they're offering the price is pretty high and there are other brands out there with likely or better quality and a much better price tag.

Rating: 2.5/5

Take it:

If you prefer sheer blush
You're looking for matte finish
You don't mind reapplying

Leave it:

You prefer cream formulation
You don't like the powdering
You expect good color payoff
You find it expensive

Price: Rs 850/-
Available at: You'll find it online at Just4girls and Beauty Arena and locally, you'll find it at Naheed's, Chase Up and Dolmen City Mall (Clifton).

Conclusion: I hate when makeup that seems so beautiful ends up being such a disappointment. I regret my purchase and would not buy it ever again. Recommended? Not at all!
