Company/Brand Claim: Unique Feature: Wide, flat and very soft head
Function: Controlled highlighting.
Result: What tempted me to buy this brush was an eye makeup video of my favorite Youtube guru in which she did a sultry smokey eye look using it, which left me wowing. From what I have personally experienced, this baby can do some more tricks that are very useful and I'm glad to own one.
It appears to be very simple and professional looking. A wide black handle with a silver ferrule and essentials mentioned. Nothing very fancy. Works! The brush head is very soft and dense and is literally meant to control product fallout. It is rounded at the top, which helps decide how much you'd want to stroke the brush. The length is ideal and makes the brush grip comfortable. At first I gave it a try with an eye makeup look. I used it on the crease to apply eye shadow and to my delight it didn't cloud it like a blending brush would. It does blend eye shadows but doesn't move them upward towards the brow bone. Second, I used it for brow highlighting and it did it perfectly. Finally, out of curiosity, I tried it for contouring. Yes. If you're all wondering it would create a streak of color then you're in for a surprise. Just like eye shadows it beautifully blends in the contour powder creating a chiseled cheek. If you want to achieve Angelina Jolie's contour from Maleficient, the E50 the perfect brush to get the look.
Cons: None
Sigma E50 Large Fluff Brush also comes with an 18K gold ferrule which is pricier.
Rating: 5/5
Function: Controlled highlighting.
