History tells us the red lipstick trend took off in the early 1900s. After that, there's been no stopping to the craze. I started experimenting with dark lipstick shades only after graduating from college. Before that, I just thought it wouldn't look good on me. But surprisingly, dark lipstick colors actually look better on my medium skin. I've been a fan of red lips since then, especially, the French red lip. Of my little collection, Jouer liquid lipstick in Fraise Bonbon is my best shade of red lipstick.
Review:
Jouer liquid lipsticks also known as liquid lip creme garnered a lot of attention after their initial launch. Mainly due to the amazing color scheme and lightweight matte formula. For me, it glides on smoothly and leaves an opaque pigment behind. The shade is a deep blue-based red which reminds me of Rose, the flower. It is suitable for every skin tone and I've also worn it to work at times. I don't mind the light fragrance and it goes away once you wear the lipstick. It does not transfer onto anything so eat and drink away all you want. The brand is cruelty-free which earns it an extra point from me. Also, you can wear the Jouer lip topper in rose gold, on top for added glam.

One thing I dislike about this product is that it becomes very dry after application. I have dry sensitive lips so I have to prepare my skin before wearing it. Putting on lip balm or chapstick underneath is not a good idea.
As for the packaging, the plastic tube looks professional and fits easily in my makeup bag. The applicator is designed in a way that it reaches the corners of the lips with ease without being messy. There's 6 ml of product in the tube which should last you a few months depending on your use.

Final Thoughts:
Red lips look gorgeous and garner a lot of attention from everywhere. It is a classic color that's not going out of style for a long time to come. If you haven't tried red lipstick, I suggest that you do. Also, red lipsticks make your teeth seem brighter and add extra beauty to your smile. Jouer fraise bonbon is my all-time favorite red lipstick and a must-have in a makeup collection.

Cons: Very dry for sensitive lips
